We rely on volunteers to help us offer amazing life experiences for young people. Would you like to put your skills to good use and learn new ones? You don’t need to be the next Bear Grylls or an outdoor expert!
Volunteering is easier than you think. You can do anything from helping at meetings, to joining us on a camp, to assisting with the work of our committee. It doesn’t have to be every week – you can volunteer on a flexible basis. Scouting works best when a lot of people give a little.

Most of our volunteers are either adults, or Explorer Scouts who assist the sections as Young Leaders. You can volunteer from the age of 13½ as part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
